Nikki and Blake May 28, 2012

The great thing about an engagement shoot is you get to see the couple outside of the wedding day, when they are in pre wedding giddiness.  Nikki and Blake were no exception tho this! They are so intune with each other, it so obvious how utterly in love they are.  Which also made them a very easy couple to shoot. As you see from the feel of the photos, this couple likes to have fun a be a little silly.  We shot at Edgefield and pretty much laughed the whole way through the shoot even though it was freezing cold and windy!

We had a great time shooting in Woodburn at the Wooden Shoe tulip farm.  It was a beautiful day and a Saturday so that meant a huge crowd!  But it all worked out great anyway.

Nick and Jane March 27, 2012

You would never know that there were crazy snow storms two days before this wedding.  The weather was warm and sunny on Jane and Nick’s day!  What a beautiful wedding at Our Lady of Sorrows Church in South East Portland.  Jane and Nick were ear to ear smiles all day long.   After the Ceremony everyone headed over to McMenamins  Edgefield for an evening of dining dancing and good times. Jane, Nick and I toured around the grounds getting some great shots in all the numerous fantastic spots and hideaways that adorn the Edgefield grounds.  Thanks so much Jane and Nick for allowing me to capture your amazing day!

Hunter November 28, 2011

Ok, if there were a baby smile contest Hunter would be competing for the top spot!  This kid has cheeks to spare, and a smile that makes everyone else smile.  This shoot was successful thanks in part to a singing dog and a harmonica.  It’s different for every kid and this one was easy to please, that always makes my job easy!

We lucked out with the weather and were able to let Hunter have some fun in the fall leaves at the park.

Great kid. Great shoot. Great day!

Fall Family Shoots! October 28, 2011

Ahhhh, Fall is here! What a fun time at The Crystal Springs Rhododendron Gardens!  We had an eventful shoot, many onlookers followed us around.  They all had wings and bills and were hoping we were there to feed them not take pictures.  None the less it kept the kids entertained and probably us grown ups as well The foliage was just starting to turn autumn colors and thankfully the fog had lifted by the time we started shooting.

All in all a great shoot with a great family!

Justin September 19, 2011

I’ve known Justin for a while, so it was really fun to do this shoot for him!  We had a great time traveling around the industrial area of East Portland.  Found some neat buildings and some questionable items that were discarded by others who had been there before… You wouldn’t know it by the pics but most of the buildings I put Justin in front of had been tagged.  We had a really good time and the shoot went really fast.  We wanted to get done before the heat got really intense, the temps that week were in the 90′s! But Justin was a trooper, smiled handsomely through the hot sunshine!

Abby and Jim August 22, 2011

 

 

Jim and Abby’s wedding was set in the lush Bridal Veil Lake Gardens.  This property has amazing landscaping and hidden treasures all around.  We had no trouble finding beautiful picturesque places to shoot.   They have everything from water features to wild flowers.  In fact Abby, our beautiful bride, boated into the ceremony and the happy couple boated out after the ceremony to the reception which was on the other side of the lake.  There were so many great personal touches that really made this wedding unique, my favorite were the hand carved Mr. and Mrs. signs that hung from the head table (we used them in one of their shots).

Everyone had such a fun time there.  This venue even boasts multiple canoes so the guests get to have a little water fun too.   But this group really didn’t need any help in the fun department; they were laughing, dancing and limboing the night away.

Jim and Abby had a wonderful wedding and we were so happy to be able to be there and capture the memories for them.  Here are some of my favorite pics from the day…

Addie and Jarrod June 28, 2011

This wedding was absolutely gorgeous and fun.  The bride and groom who call Australia their home said their nuptials in front of 300+ family and friends at the brides family farm in the Willamette Valley.  The Weather was wonderful not to hot, not chilly, and no liquid sunshine!

This bunch was so much fun and I must say I shot things that I have never shot before… Yes, that beautiful bride in her exquisite gown climbed a tree!  I have to say that when I get a group of people like this, it makes my job so much easier.  This group was all about fun and it really shows in their pictures.  They were climbing, jumping, sitting, and  laughing their way through the formals.

Audrey’s Senior Pics May 19, 2011

Audrey was such a beautiful subject to shoot!  We were extremely lucky with the way the weather worked out, you just never know around here if you’re going to need to reschedule a shoot on account of rain…

But Audrey was wonderful, willing to wade in the water, wait for onlookers to pass by and to tromp all over the park.  Here pics turned out great!

Trisha’s Maternity April 3, 2011

This shoot was was so much fun! The parents did not know if their baby was a boy or girl so we did both girl shots and boy shots.  Both parents said that their guts were telling them that it was a boy, but would be absolutely delighted with boy or girl!

Only days after our shoot They had their baby, thank goodness we did this shoot when we did!  As you can see from the pictures the parents were right.  It’s a boy! Welcome to the world Hunter. And congrats to the new parents!
